I have been going here for over 10 years, I like that they are always resilient to changes and innovations yet are very consistent with giving care that is patient focused. They just got digital 3D xray and digital 3d scan impressions... sooo much better than those gooey impressions that sometimes make me gag.

First off, Dr. De La Vega is a GREAT Dentist. She always has a smile on her face and is caring and will take the time to explain everything to you. This review is in regards to my experience of their payment practice.

I was in the dentist chair with a bib and shades on (given to be by the dentist assistant) and in position to start X-rays when all of a sudden the front desk receptionist comes in and stops the assistant and tells me I had to pay “right now!” My reply to her was “huh?? There hasn’t even been any work done yet. Can’t I pay AFTER work is done?” She said “no you have to pay now then we’ll schedule you for a follow up after the work is done” so I literally had to get up out of the chair and go to the receptionist desk in the lobby and make a payment with the bib and shades still on and make a payment. The dentist assistant just stood there waiting for me to return to the chair.

That was the weirdest experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office before. I don’t know if this is normal practice at this office, but paying BEFORE any work is done seems odd to me. It put me in a very uncomfortable mood for the rest of my appointment. Show Less

Saturday 11:00 a.m. appt.@ 11:15 I asked about the delay. At 11: 18 I was asked to finally go in and sit for x-rays, this took 5 minutes to finish.

I then sat for another 17:min until some came to polish my teeth, which is done before cleaning.

Finally the cleaning was done next, then of course more polishing. It appears these process is done backwards which added more time to my stay.

I was finally out of there at 12:13, overall time 1 hour & 13 minutes for a basic cleaning.

This made me late for my next appointment.

My wife has stated she encounters the same type of delays. Show Less

I have been faithful to Genesis because the owner and staff are very friendly and caring. However I feel that our coverage goes straight into repairs on previous work done, over and over. Moreover I experience damage to the surrounding healthy teeth when work is been performed. molars fall easily, and we experience sensitivity on teeth. I have not experience chew or bite-leveling or balancing to see if all my teeth are aligned to newly done work. Overall, acknowledging of previous work performance are a problem. Show Less

I just completed my second visit and procedure.

To begin with, as soon as you walk through the door your met with a warm and inviting lobby. Closing the door your greeted by a friendly and professional hello from Marivic. Marivic checks you in and then you relax in the very cozy waiting room which feels more the way a luxury hotel lobby getaway would feel.

When that no one likes being at the dentist moment arrives your summoned by the very soothing and bubbly Emily. As Emily guides you to your destination you then start realizing the entire office has that calming inviting feel.

Finally the time has come when the scary dentist enters the room. That feeling instantly vanishes when Dr. de la Vega starts talking with you about your day and what will be involved with today's visit. I like in that Dr. de la Vega is very passionate in what she does in taking care of her patients.

The whole staff makes your-you don't want to be at the dentist ordeal painless and feeling good that your taking care of yourself.

I called for an appointment and was told we were all set for 10:30. Waited in office area after checking in for 30 minutes, then when I finally got into the dentist chair, I was told I was late and they did not have time, that I was suppose to be there at 10.

Not sure why the receptionsist couldnt have told me that earlier, lots of confusion and poor communication. Only open 3 days a week and some saturdays making it difficult to schedule. Unfortunately my experience was very poor. I went in for a teeth cleaning and was seen by a fill in dentist in which I was not informed before I arrived to my visit. The cleaning process felt very rushed and they didn't even use dental floss in cleaning them. Fortunately (or so I thought at the time) this dentist said she had time to fill 4 of my many cavities. When I returned for more 2 weeks later I was still experiencing pain from my previous visit. Come to find out 2 of the 4 needed to be partially redone likely due to poor quality work. I was in an unusually large amount of pain for days following and I still feel pain with these teeth, not just sensitivity. Due to my experiences, though obviously not wise, I will likely delay returning to the dentist for a long while. I have an EXTREME fear of the dentist and this was very traumatic. The doctor and staff, however, were all nice. Show Less

I am the biggest chicken when it comes to going to the dentist. When I lived in Tracy I finally found a dentist I really liked so when I moved back to the area I would have to take a half day off work to go to the dentist in Tracy. I checked all the reviews on all the dentists in my plan in my area and chose Dr De La Vega. To my surprise when I arrived I found out she works at my previous dentist Dr Villaroman's office on Mondays and so does some of her friendly staff. What a small world. I am so happy with my dentist. Oh and by the way the new office is awesome,love the window view it is much more relaxing. My dentist is very careing, knowing the visit scares me.(such a baby) I had work done 34 years ago on a back tooth, she caught a problem, the filling was coming apart and took off all the old and replaced it with new. If she had not done this since a cavitey was going on it could of turned out to be a root canel.This was so much better, this is what I am talking about.

Okay I am a big baby! Scared of the dentist. This office is so cool. The staff is friendly and helpful giving information about your services. But the dentist is awesome, she really cares about you. Knowing I get very nervous and am very senstive, she always talks to me during the visit. Most important to me she remembers who you are. Goes a step further and makes it personal. This is my second time going to Genesis Dentistry. As always they're very prompt, professional, friendly, and funny. They don't rush through the job like other dentists (e.g., when the dentist "runs" between two or three patients in the chair at the same time), nor do they try to sell you on cosmetic upgrades like other dentists in the Bay area. I changed to Genesis after visiting another local dentist that was just horrific... I would obviously recommend that anyone visit Genesis. Show Less

The office also has new technology such as digital x-ray that a lot of older dentists don't have. They made me feel comfortable and special.They gave me a VIP treatment. The overall atmosphere of the practice is warm, welcoming, and the equipment is state-of-the-art. Furthermore, they work in agreement with my insurance and there is no surprise regarding my out-of-pocket expenses. Genesis Dentistry is excellent, I had poor alignment

due to an old cap that was too high, Dr. de la Vega

replaced the cap with a anatomically correct cap and

the tightness in my jaw (TMJ) was completely relieved.

Dr. de la Vega is so competent and caring. I feel so confident in her skills that I can relax knowing

that she will do the best for my teeth and that is a

wonder feeling. And, to have gotten rid of TMJ after

years of suffering with it, is just fabulous. All

I first found this dentist over 3 years ago when I was trying to get Invisalign. They had by far, the best price anywhere. After my Invisalign was complete, I wanted to show off my pearly whites so of course, I wanted them to look pearly. I had my teeth whitened with Zoom whitening and the results were phenomenal! Everything done through Genesis Dentistry has been with 100% satisfaction including basic necessities like cleanings and checkups.
